What began as a spark in our grandma’s old apartment grew into the beating heart of El Ashry Studios. After two years of shaping dreams in our own guest bathroom and kitchen, we knew it was time for our craft to find a home of its own. That’s when our beloved grandmother, Nanouha—may her soul rest in peace—placed a key in our hands. It was the key to the apartment where she was born, where she grew, where she laughed, and where she raised our mother and her siblings.

When we opened the door, we stepped into a forgotten world—an apartment held in time, used only for storage, yet glowing with hidden magic. Beneath the dust and silence, every corner whispered possibility. We could almost hear the walls humming with stories, waiting to be transformed.

It took a year and a half of love, care, and patience to breathe life back into the space—preserving its old soul, reviving its memories, and weaving our own dreams into its essence. When the doors finally reopened, they opened onto more than a studio. They opened onto a haven.

We began with simple ceramic workshops for beginners, and slowly, beautifully, the space blossomed. Today, El Ashry Studios welcomes artisans of every kind—creators eager to share their craft, their knowledge, and their passion with a community of kindred spirits. What started as Nanouha’s gift has become a home for creativity, connection, and limitless imagination.
