Let’s Shade Aswan — First Gathering 🧶✨
Join us at ElAshry Studios for the very first gathering of the Let’s Shade Aswan initiative — the beginning of a collective effort to create something both beautiful and meaningful.

This open crochet gathering brings together both experienced makers and curious beginners. Whether you’ve never held a crochet hook before or you’re already comfortable making granny squares, you’re welcome here. (100% of the ticket price of this event goes towards the campaign!)

This is a collaborative space:
If you’re new, you’ll learn.
If you have experience, you’re encouraged to guide and support others.

Bring your own needles and yarn if you have them — and if not, materials will be available at the studio.

Together, we’ll begin creating a collection of granny squares that will be assembled into a large canopy, set to be installed in Aswan as a pilot step toward shading public spaces through handmade, community-driven design.

This is more than a workshop — it’s a shared act of making, teaching, and building something that extends beyond the studio.
