The Art of Noticing: A Fig Tree, and the Invisible Thread 🌿✨

Step away from the noise of daily life and join us for a reflective, guided experience centered around attention, presence, and the quiet wisdom of plants. Inspired by Sylvia Plath’s famous fig tree metaphor in The Bell Jar, this workshop invites participants to explore what it means to notice the life already growing around them—and within them.

At the heart of the experience is the idea of the Invisible Thread: the belief that sometimes we don't choose what belongs to us—sometimes it finds us. Each participant will be drawn to a wrapped mystery plant and guided through a series of reflections, observations, and writing exercises designed to spark self-discovery through the simple act of paying attention.

Through storytelling, journaling, quiet observation, and discussion, you'll explore themes of identity, growth, care, and possibility. Along the way, you'll learn about your plant's personality and care needs, while uncovering parallels between nurturing a living thing and nurturing yourself.

By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a plant, a personal ritual, and perhaps a new way of seeing the world around you.
