Photography Workshop by Mostafa Abdel Aaaty
One Day Photography Workshop — Level 1
With Mostafa Abdel Aty
Includes an optional online feedback session
Camera or phone, no experience needed. Spend an afternoon shooting in Downtown Cairo, learning to see light differently and capture sharper photos. If you want, join an online feedback session afterwards where we'll review your best shots together.
The best photos from our walks go on show in a small exhibition. Yours could be one of them.
The Day: Light, Your Camera & Sharp Photos
- Understand how your camera works and how to hold it for steady shots.
- Learn to notice light and how it changes your photos.
- Explore focus and sharpness: crisp shots, not blurry ones.
How It Runs
- 2 PM: Meet up and start shooting.
- About 3:30 PM: Take a one-hour break at a café with food, drinks, and restrooms.
- About 4:30 PM: Head back out for more shooting.
- 6 PM: Wrap up the workshop.
Optional hangout from 6 PM: Stay for a drink, a chat, and a quick look at the day's photos. Totally up to you.
Your Photos
At the end of the day, send us the photos you took on the walk. We'll keep a copy. By submitting your photos, you agree that we may share them on our pages as workshop results and display them in exhibitions.
Bonus: Optional Online Feedback Session
Want feedback on your work? Choose your best 3–5 photos. A light edit is welcome, but not necessary, then upload them to Google Drive by Monday, November 16th. Late submissions can't be accepted.
Join us online on Wednesday, November 18th for a 1.5-hour session reviewing the strongest photos and discussing what could be improved. We'll choose between 6 PM and 9 PM together after the walk. Can't make it? No problem. The shooting day is the heart of the workshop.
The Exhibition
Every few walks, we put together a one- or two-day exhibition featuring the best photos from our workshops. Your work could be part of it.
What to Bring
- A charged camera or phone.
- Comfortable shoes.
- Water.
